Due to the continued expansion, we are looking for a talented and ambitious Hydrographic Surveyor to join our growing team.
About the Hydrographic Surveyor Position
As a Hydrographic Surveyor, your principal role is to work with the project leadership team to maximise efficiencies and ensure surveys are completed safely, effectively, and to the highest standards to meet client expectations and project objectives.
This role will involve working both on-site and in the office/from home, as required. We are ideally looking for someone based in the North West or willing to relocate closer to our Wirral-based office.
When working on-site, the standard working time is 12 hours per day on the vessel, with nights spent in shore-based accommodation. Due to the nature of the work, flexibility will be required to work around tidal cycles.

- Utilising QPS QINSy acquisition and processing software
- Collecting, processing, and reporting high-quality datasets for a range of clients operating in the marine environment
- Maintaining health, safety, and quality standards
- Supporting other duties as directed by senior management that are deemed reasonably practicable
About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can demonstrate the following:
- 1+ years of industry experience, ideally on smaller, nearshore vessels where you have been involved in hands-on equipment deployment in small back deck spaces
- Preferably degree-qualified in a relevant scientific subject
- Experience with QINSy online software (preferred)
- Data processing experience with Qimera (preferred)
- Full, clean Driving License
- Offshore Survival Training and Offshore Medical
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with MS Office applications
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, both on-site and in an office environment
